ISLAMABAD: The competent authorities have asked all visitors who are going to the mountainous areas to enjoy the snowfall to take extra precautions to avoid any unfortunate situations.
Reports from a private news channel stated that authorities have recommended locals and visitors to avoid needless travel in order to deal with the difficult situation.
In addition, it advised travelers to make sure they were taking all necessary precautions before packing their luggage because very low temperatures were being reported in the nation’s northern regions.
Additionally, the PDMA instructed the local government to guarantee that the equipment required to remove snow, rain, and land sliding effects from roadways was available.
According to a PDM official, the authority also demanded that the tourists be promptly updated so that they could take the appropriate safety precautions.
A visitor mentioned that her kids love snowfall, and they were giddy with anticipation for building snowmen and playing in the powder.
PMD states that on these days, isolated hailstorms, rain, wind, and thunderstorms with snow covering hills are anticipated across the nation.
A female traveler continued, “Pakistan is a very beautiful country with diverse weather and locations to explore.”
In addition, travelers are asked to visit their website or call the National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) helpdesk for the most recent information on road conditions along their intended route.
It is urged that travelers make sure their accommodations are available and bring along any required medications, warm clothing for inclement weather, and food for at least a day.
As to the statement provided by an NDMA official, certain actions have been mandated to be taken in tourist destinations such as Murree, Galiyat, Ziarat, Naran, Kaghan, Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The spokeswoman also underlined how important it is for people to be aware of this in order to ensure that people drive carefully in the winter.
