Islamabad: As Eid-ul-Fitar is fast approaching, many people are making last-minute preparations to visit local malls and markets of the federal capital to celebrate this auspicious occasion.
Various shopping malls like Super Market, Jinnah Super, Karachi Company, F-10 Mall and other popular shopping malls gather from noon for shopping, fast and finish shopping during the fasting period.
In the main markets and malls of the capital, you can witness some women looking for clothes, shoes and other accessories to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
Sayra Kasim, a mother of three, said: “I ended up shopping for my family thinking that there will be more people in the days after Eid and we might not have the right size of clothes and shoes.”
“Although online shopping platforms have made it easier for many people to shop while sitting at home during fasting, physically visiting Eid markets has its appeal,” he said in an interview with APP.
Ansha Mehmood, a young girl, said, “I bought Eid dresses and skirts from the nearest mall, taking advantage of sales offers. Now I only buy chains, jewelery and henna at Chaand Raat with my friends.
He said: “I always try to buy clothes and shoes in the middle of Ramadan because all the good things are sold in a few days after Eid, and tailors also stop taking orders during the last week of Ramadan. for the local town.”.
Government official Hira Iftikhar said, “Shopping during Ramadan is a difficult task, so I try to solve it in order to focus on prayer to seek God’s blessings during the last Ashra of the holy month. .”
Speaking to APP, the prevailing inflation has limited the purchasing power of the salaried class, so I ended up shopping locally for my family. Eid al-Adha is the biggest festival for all Muslims around the world and Muslims celebrate it with great religious fervor and enthusiasm.
The capital accounts for more than half the population, most of whom belong to different provinces.
Many people who moved here for work have moved back to their hometowns to celebrate the holiday with their loved ones, combining the weekend with public holidays on Monday and Tuesday.
Some planned to leave their cities and go to the city on Tuesday.
In this case, most of the residents have completed their preparations so that they can move to their hometowns before the beginning of Eid.
Amir Masood, a Sindh government and corporate official, said, “I have been allowed to combine Monday and Tuesday with weekends and holidays (Wednesday-Sunday) to spend maximum time with my parents and other family members.
