RAWALPINDI: Like other parts of the country, Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated with religious fervor, fervor and enthusiasm in Rawalpindi division, with over 3,000 police personnel deployed in an elaborate security plan to ensure Eid-ul-Azha celebrations.
Elite forces, Mohafiz team, special unit personnel and policewomen and volunteers carried out security duties, 692 checkpoints were deployed to stop traffic during Eid prayers.
Amid tight security on Monday, Eid prayers were held in mosques and open spaces, while Ulama and Hateebs preached the importance and philosophy of sacrifice.
Special prayers are offered for progress, prosperity and unity of the country, unity of ‘Immat’, resolution of problems and liberation of Kashmir. After the Sacrifice, cows, goats, sheep and camels are slaughtered.
According to a CTP spokesperson, more than 700 police and 300 traffic wardens have been deployed to ensure the safety and convenience of visitors and the smooth flow of traffic in Murree.
He said special pickets have been installed in 16 places around the sand station to improve security.
In addition, seven convenience centers have been established to provide the necessary facilities and guide tourists.
District Coordination Committee (DCC) Chairman Engineer Qamar ul Islam Raja visited the RWMC control room on Tuesday and congratulated the company on the cleanliness drive on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
He appreciated the efforts of Rawalpindi Divisional Commissioner Aamir Khattak and Deputy Commissioner Hasan Waqar Cheman to ensure best hygiene measures during Eid al-Adha.
Speaking at the event, RWMC Chairman Sakib Rafique said that the company is disposing animal waste from all areas of the district.
A spokesperson of the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) said that the cleanliness drive to remove the intestines of animals sacrificed during Eid al-Adha has been completed. He said, more than 4,700 tons of waste was transferred to TPS.
There are 485 vehicles and more than 3,832 sanitation workers in the cleaning operation, the control room monitors workers and more than 650 complaints are resolved.
The cantonment area is divided into ten sections for cleanliness, including altars, roads and streets. Watering with lemon juice is also done to ensure cleanliness.
The Rescue-1122 team remains alert to provide ambulance and rescue services to the residents of the district in addition to medical assistance in case of emergency.
More than 400 rescuers are on special duty in the district control room and emergency rescue station, fully equipped ambulances, fire engines, rescue vehicles, water coolers and special vehicles appear unexpectedly.
Meanwhile, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has made a special plan to ensure smooth water supply during Eid al-Adha.
