ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Pakistan to UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi has called on social media influencers to play their effective role in educating the members of the Pakistani community living in the UAE to demonstrate ideal behavior.
Addressing a gathering of Pakistani community members and social media influencers at the Iftar reception at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, the ambassador said that positive behavior should be encouraged.
while duly respecting the laws, rules, norms and traditions of the UAE and its policies, said a press release received on Tuesday.
Appreciating the Dubai Government’s social media platforms titled “Emirates Love Pakistan”, the Ambassador said that social media plays a significant role in today’s world by facilitating communication, information sharing and networking.
He said that around 1.8 million Pakistanis living and working in the UAE are the source of livelihood for so many families.
He urged members of the Pakistani community to work together for a positive representation of Pakistan.
“Together we have to create a positive image of Pakistan while living in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-religious society here in the UAE,” the ambassador noted.
Ambassador Tirmizi said that Pakistan and the UAE enjoy historical relations spanning more than five decades and stressed the need to strive for further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Consul General Hussain Muhammad and other consulate officials also participated in the interactive session.
