The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan had a bilateral discussion at the Ministry of Finance in Islamabad on Thursday to discuss potential areas of economic cooperation.
The Ethiopian delegation was led by H.E. Dr. Eyob Tekalign Tolina, State Minister of Finance, and the Pakistan mission was led by H.E. Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Finance Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
H.E. Jameel Ahmad, Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, and senior officials from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Ministry of Finance were also present during the high-level meeting between the two countries.
Both sides held a good conversation on the subjects of mutual interest including the bilateral cooperation in financial sector of both nations.
The two governments expressed their determination to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier, H.E. Dr. Eyob Tolina, State Minister of Finance for FDR Ethiopia, and his entourage met with Dr. Inayat Hussain, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan.
The meeting focused on cooperation between the two countries in the financial industry.
