The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan organized two Ethio-Pakistan Business Forums to mobilize business people with Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Korangi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KATI). , Traders and Investors for Ethiopia 2nd Business and Trade Mission from May 26 to May 31, 2024.
H.E. Special Envoy and Representative Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of FDR Ethiopia to Pakistan Jamal Beker Abdula chaired this business forum on Wednesday along with the respective presidents of the two trade organizations.
H.E Ambassador Jamal Baker Abdulla invited the business community of Karachi to participate in the 2nd Ethiopian Business and Trade Delegation, which provides a great opportunity to network.
According to the ambassador, the 2nd business and trade delegation will enable the participation of manufacturers from the world, including Africa, in the International Manufacturing Trade Fair.
H.E. Ambassador Jamal Baker Abdula also shared other information about the 2nd Business and Trade Delegation to Ethiopia, including business forums, meetings with relevant ministers and senior officials, visits to industrial parks and top tourist spots, and cultural nights in Addis. Ababa.
Ambassador FDR reminded the business community of the comparative advantages that Ethiopia offers in terms of cheap, clean and sustainable energy, industrial parks, incentives and single window transactions for investors.
The business community of Karachi, on the other hand, warrants the Ambassador of the 2nd Business and Trade Mission in Ethiopia.
At the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, its President Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed Sheikh said that the 2nd Business and Trade Delegation to Ethiopia is a great opportunity for Karachi’s business community and it is time to enter Africa through Ethiopia.
Mohammad Zubair Motiwala, Chief Executive Officer of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) said that there is a need to exchange business delegations between the two countries to promote bilateral trade between Ethiopia and Pakistan.
He appreciated the role played by H.E. Ambassador Jamal Baker Abdullah to connect the two countries with Ethiopian Airlines operations in Karachi.
Meanwhile, Mr. Syed Johar Ali Qandhari, President of Korangi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, invited businessmen and traders to join the 2nd Ethiopian Business and Trade Delegation to explore Ethiopia’s lucrative trade market.
Then H.E. Ambassador Jamal Baker Abdula together with the president of KATI and other businessmen visited H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister of Ethiopia to promote brotherhood between the two nations.
