Pakistani singer and actor Fawad Khan turns 43 this November, but remains a heartthrob and beloved celebrity at home and abroad.
Although aging is a current issue for Fawad as well, not just for traditional reasons. In a recent interview with Khaleej Times, the remarkable actor talked about ageing, especially being a star.
It’s unfortunate but true,” said the Humsafar hero, shedding light on how aging affects an actor’s life.
But he said there was a “silver lining” in referring to projects where performance is prioritized over conventional romantic ideals.
According to Fawad, physical appearance recedes in roles like his in the upcoming web series Barzakh, and actors are given the opportunity to portray the character.
“I believe that outside of the film industry, everyone struggles with the fear of aging. It’s a universal problem. Personally, I feel like I’m going through a middle-age awakening,” he added.
Fawad said he had been acutely aware of the transience of life since he was young.
He also mentioned the passing of his “childhood idols” like Moin Akhtar, Junaid Jamshed and even Michael Jackson.
“Whether you knew them personally or not, their absence leaves a void because they impacted your life in some way, and now they cease to exist.
“We are not only losing people, but also their memories, which will fade with time and generations,” he emphasized.
However, the Legend of Maula Jatt icon added that for him, the idea of entering the autumn of life was about his loved ones and “what happens to them when you leave this world”.
The Pakistani celebrity is well known for her memorable roles in the serials Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai and the Bollywood films Khoobsurat and Kapoor & Sons.
He is set to make his first-class debut in Zee 5 Global’s Barzakh alongside former teammate Sanam Saeed.
