SWAT: Former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarian (PTIP) Mahmood Khan has decided to go to court against this initiative of the provincial government, expressing a strong reaction to the termination of approved mega projects in his tenure of more than 18 billion rupees his tenure in Swat district.
While talking to the media at his residence Matta , Mahmood Khan said that it is sad to see the helplessness of the elected members of the assembly from Swat that despite the heavy mandate of the people, development projects are being terminated and they are silent spectators.
He said that if Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur does not restore the ongoing development projects in Swat and Malakand Division and release funds, he will go to court against this decision.
He said that the details of all the projects have been collected in this regard and the services of a lawyer have also been obtained in this regard and an application will be filed in the court.
Mahmood Khan said that during his tenure, he had approved projects worth billions of rupees not only in Swat but also in other districts of Malakand division. In which funds were also released for education, health, communication, water supply, tourism and other sectors, but the current provincial government has terminated all those projects from ADP.
He said that the approval of the Khyber Medical University Swat Campus was also given by the Cabinet and the tender was also issued. After which the contractor also started work on this project, but this project has also been closed, which is beyond understanding.
Former Chief Minister Mahmood Khan further said that during his tenure, on the request of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, many projects were approved and funds were released for them, but he has stopped all the projects of my tenure in my hometown by doing injustice.
He said that these projects were not for me personally but for the development of the people of Swat, but the minister has canceled these projects.
He announced that if the government does not release funds for these projects and resume work, then we will go to court against this decision and I will withdraw all the projects in Swat through the court itself.
