SWAT: At least two people were killed and two others critically injured in a gunfight between close relatives over a property dispute in Sersenai area of Kabal Tehsil in Swat district.
Bakhtzada Khan, SHO of Kabal police station, said that before Iftar, the parties confronted each other and started firing at each other. As a result, Hamid Shah’s (V) son Bahadur Shah died on the spot while his brother Asghar Shah was injured while his Muhammad Anwar (maternal uncle) died on the other side.
“A passer-by, Aseel Zada, was also injured in the shooting. He was taken to hospital.”
According to the police, after registering an FIR, Asghar Shah (brother of late Hamid Shah) and his son Shehryar were arrested and a Kalashnikov and a pistol were also recovered from their possession.
Similarly, Humayun and Muhammad Nawaz (brothers of late Muhammad Anwar) were also arrested from the other side and further investigation was initiated against them.
