ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahrah Baloch condemned the Israeli attack on the UNWRA (United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East) food distribution center in southern Gaza. Baloch described the attack as “inhumane, unconscionable and crimes against humanity”.
On Wednesday, the aid agency said its food center had been attacked by an Israeli strike, killing at least one of its staff.
Baloch called for increased international support for UNWRA and further condemned the 3,500 newly built illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, saying it would undermine an independent, sovereign Palestinian state. She further reiterated Pakistan’s call to the UN Security Council to “end the suffering of the Palestinian people”.
