WANA: Negehban associated with the Forest Department in District Lower South Waziristan Wana held an emergency press conference on Friday at the District Press Club Wana against the stoppage of salaries and the high officials of the forest department were demanded to release the salaries immediately.
They said, that the salaries of our forest guards have been stopped for the last 24 months, orders should be issued by the government to release the salaries, because due to the recent exorbitant inflation, the Negehban of Wana have been forced to starve.
On this occasion, Malik Meraj Wazir, Jalal Wazir, Haji Sarfaraz and Ajab Noor Wazir said while talking to the media that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Forestry Department had promised to pay the fixed salaries for the said 24 months but unfortunately, the top officials of the forest department have transferred the funds of the Neghbans to AIP.
They added that if our closed salaries are not released by next Friday, then they will announce a boycott of the polio campaign while protest demonstrations and sit-ins will be held in Tank Dera Ismail Khan.
On the other hand, DFO South Waziristan Zeeshan said while talking to the media due to lack of funds in the KP province, there is a problem of releasing salaries.
He said try to pay the salaries of the negehbans.
He said that the problem of stoppage of salaries is not only in South Waziristan but in the entire tribal districts of KP.
