SWAT: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians( PTIP) and former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) Mahmood Khan has said that in the February 08 General Elections, the people voted for prisoner number 804, but unfortunately, like in the past, the mandate has not been respected this time as well, due to which severe political crisis emerged in the country
He expressed these views while addressing the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected cabinet of the District Bar Association Swat , here at District Bar Association, Saidu Sharif Swat. District Bar Association’s newly elected President Fahim Naeem, General Secretary Obaidullah and other lawyer leaders also spoke on this occasion.
Mr. Khan said that in February 08, General Elections, no political party got clear majority in the parliament, but a PML-N led coalition government had been formed, while in the provinces various political parties, formed governments.
“PML-N cannot do anything for the welfare of the country and the people due to split mandate in the centre, and there are fears of more crisis in the country. I believe that federal government will not survive for eight to Nine months”, Mahmood Khan said, adding the country was suffering from huge economic crisis and the government was continuously making the people more indebted by borrowing loans .He maintained that it was not in the interest of the state, as debtors live a life of slavery, therefore, International Monterey Fund (IMF) and other financial institutions deal the country like slaves.
Responding to a question, he told that he was forced to leave PTI, which he claimed was his home and family, however, he categorically announced that Imran Khan, was his leader in the past and would be his leader in the future too.
Mehmood Khan said that PTI-P agreed to bond a political alliance with PTI, without any condition, so that PTI get their reserve seats in national and provincial assemblies, however, some forces did not want this alliance to work.
“In the General Elections our competition was with the prisoner of Adiala Jail, instead of local candidates and that was the reason why the candidates won. I want to tell Sher Afzal Marwat that he must read my profile before talking my political career”, he added.
He asked the legal fraternity to come forward to safeguard sate and constitution. Earlier he administered oath to the newly elected cabinet of District Bar Association Swat, and announced fifteen hundred thousand rupees for the District Bar Association Swat.
