TALASH: The funeral prayers of 4 police officers who lost their lives in the bomb blast on a police van in Dera Ismail Khan yesterday for the security of general elections were offered in different areas of Lower Dir. The funeral of Inspector Sultan Yusuf was held at his native village Qila Kambat, the funeral of Constable Muhammad Sabir was held at Amluk Dara Talash, the funeral of Constable Ali Muhammad was held at Badwan, while the funeral of Constable Israr Ahmed was held at his native village Banda Gayi Talash.

Local people including Police Officer Lower Dir Ziauddin Ahmed, DSPs Circle, DPS Headquarters, SP Elite and other police officers participated. DPO Lower Dir and other police officers met the families of martyrs and condoled with them. DPO Lower Dir Ziauddin Ahmed said on this occasion that there is no substitute for the sacrifices of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of peace. The children of the martyrs are our children. And in this hour of difficulty, we stand side by side with them…..
