RAWALPINDI: As many as four terrorists were killed on March 25 during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) conducted in Dera Ismail Khan district, Army’s media wing said on Tuesday.
According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, there was an intense gunfight between the forces and the insurgents, with the terrorists killed identified as Terrorist Mustafa, Terrorist Qismat Ullah and Terrorist Islam Ud Din.
The slain terrorists remained actively involved in numerous subversive activities against security forces and killing of innocent civilians. Arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the slain terrorists.
Local residents appreciated this operation. A decontamination operation was underway to eliminate any more terrorists found in the area as security forces were determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, the ISPR said.
