Islamabad: After months of confusion and speculation, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is scheduled to hold talks with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and parliamentary opposition leaders Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz on Monday. military agency.
The name was confirmed by PTI founding chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan in an interview with media persons inside Adiala jail after the trial in the ₹190 million corruption case.
“I have authorized Ali Amin, Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz for these talks,” Khan said when asked if he was still talking to PTI.
He explained that none other than these three leaders had the right to negotiate with the organization.
Referring to the court order that prohibits him from speaking against the institution, Mr. Khan said that he did not respect the government organization and that the order was against his fundamental rights under the Constitution.
He regretted that the petition pending in the Supreme Court against the violation of human rights has not been heard. Mr Khan expressed hope that the uncertainty over the nomination of the Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman would end on Tuesday (today).
According to him, the prison authorities gave him only half an hour to discuss, which is not a good time for a serious discussion.
The former prime minister said the KP chief minister would attack Islamabad over the federal government’s failure to fulfill its commitments, saying the Center had not given its share to the provincial government.
Earlier, speaking to reporters outside Adiala jail, PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan denied talks with the organisation. “We are not negotiating with anyone,” he said, adding that the PTI did not present a leader to talk to the organization; However, Imran Khan can make an announcement in this regard.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said he was not aware of any talks or an “imminent agreement” between the PTI and the military.
When asked about the matter by reporters while in Islamabad on Monday, he said he had no such information.
He also did not give a clear answer saying that the names of some PTI leaders have been removed from the ECL or that the names have been removed from the ECL through normal procedures.
Court case
Court Accountability Judge Nasir Javed Rana recorded four witnesses in the 190 million euro corruption reference, while the defense lawyer examined one witness.
The court has so far recorded the statements of 25 witnesses, of which 16 have been cross-examined.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court has adjourned the bail plea hearing of Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the £190 million corruption case due to the absence of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) special prosecutor.
The IHC Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri continued the bail hearing. Imran Khan’s counsel told the court that he had traveled from Lahore to attend the trial.
Justice Farooq also said that he was not well but had come to hear this case. He warned that the prosecution will not be delayed any longer and that the court will decide on the bail application by court decision.
