Gold prices in Pakistan rallied massively on Thursday after falling for the second straight day, rising by Rs 2,000 a tola to close at Rs 262,100, in line with a fall in rates in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold also saw an increase of Rs 1,714 to Rs 224,708. On the other hand, the global gold market also recorded an upward trend. The international price of gold rose as high as $2,503 an ounce after gaining $22 during the trading day, according to APGJSA.
Silver prices in the market there also saw a big drop after a long time, falling by Rs 50 to Rs 2,900 per tola. Fluctuating gold prices in the local market continue to be influenced by ongoing international market dynamics coupled with domestic factors, including exchange rates and domestic demand.
