LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the Punjab government is committed to providing vocational training opportunities to its youth.
In her message on World Youth Skills Day, the CM said that skilled youth are our investment and asset, adding that World Youth Skills Day is a day to recognize youth important role in building a sustainable future. She argued that youth must be exposed to the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said information and communication technology is essential for young people to compete in the global job market. She mentioned that under the Chief Minister’s Skill Development Initiative, the number of students in TEVTA courses will gradually increase to 40,000.
She added that our vision is to make every young Punjabi skilled to ensure their economic empowerment.
