Islamabad: China’s MCC Tongsin Resources has said it wants to increase investment in Pakistan’s mineral and mining sector.
This interest was expressed by Wang Jicheng, chairman of MCC Tongsin Resources, during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The prime minister of the company gave detailed information about the development of mineral park in Pakistan and informed about future investment plans.
The Prime Minister congratulated the Chinese company and said that the government has taken measures in priority areas to increase foreign investment in the country.
The Prime Minister invited Chinese companies to invest in Pakistan’s mineral sector, from mining to the production of export products. He said, Investments will be fully facilitated to extract, process and export minerals to increase the country’s exports.
The prime minister ordered relevant ministers and federal officials to consult with Chinese companies. He also directed to involve the Chief Minister of Balochistan and relevant departments and stakeholders of the province in the consultation process.
Shehbaz Sharif said that China has long been a friend of Pakistan and an important partner in development. He said that China has helped Pakistan in difficult times and the entire Pakistani people are grateful to the Chinese leadership and people.
