ISLAMABAD: In an effort to empower students across the country, the government has unveiled plans to introduce a Pakistan Endowment Fund scholarship scheme, drawing inspiration from the successful model of the Punjab Endowment Fund.
The initiative, revealed by the Ministry of Information, aims to provide educational opportunities for students across the country.
He also unveiled plans to expand the national youth loan scheme, stressing the importance of boosting economic growth through youth empowerment initiatives.
Chairman Mashhood emphasized the importance of sectors such as agriculture, information technology (IT) and skills development in driving economic prosperity and reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthen these areas through strategic planning and investment.
The chairman further unveiled plans to establish an e-gaming organization to provide a platform for the burgeoning talent of Pakistan’s youth, estimated to be 60-70 thousand people engaged in this booming billion-dollar industry.
Apart from economic growth initiatives, Chairman Mashhood emphasized the importance of nurturing talent in various fields and announced the organization of training camps and sports competitions at the national level to showcase the nation’s best talents.
In an effort to preserve and promote Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, the government plans to empower local artisans by introducing modern techniques, thereby elevating their craft to global standards.
Discussing the potential of Pakistan’s tourism sector, Chairman Mashhood outlined plans to set up tourism camps around the world to showcase the country’s diverse attractions to a global audience. He further revealed that efforts are underway to formulate a comprehensive national tourism policy with proposals including the operation of double-decker buses in various cities to improve the tourist experience.
