Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Prof. Ahsan Iqbal said on Wednesday that the country’s economic indicators are showing a positive trajectory and are expected to increase further.
In an interview with a private news channel, he acknowledged the hardships of the people, but assured that the situation would gradually improve.
Noting that inflation has come down, he expressed hope for positive results in the coming days.
The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to help the people within the available resources.
Relying on debt relief and then borrowing more is not a long-term solution, as it only adds to the country’s financial burden, he said. Instead, he supports economic reforms aimed at achieving positive long-term results.
“The main focus is to implement reforms that provide benefits without increasing the burden of the poor.”
He stressed the need for a strategic approach to economic reform to ensure economic reform and stability.
