ISLAMABAD: Following the tragic incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi met Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss the deteriorating law and order situation and agree on a joint strategy to resolve future conflicts and prevent external interference.
A high-level meeting between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday focused on addressing the deteriorating law and order situation in the province, especially in the wake of deadly clashes in Kuram.
The two leaders expressed deep concern over the loss of precious lives due to the land dispute and condemned elements that fueled the tension by giving the conflict a bad colour.
Naqvi assured full cooperation to restore peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which he described as the top priority of the government.
He appreciated the efforts of local dignitaries led by MNA Hameed Hussain and security forces to bring the situation under control. Naqvi acknowledged that outside hands sabotaging peace efforts cannot be ignored.
Governor Kundi thanked Minister Naqvi for his support in bringing peace as the government steps up efforts to improve law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Karam. The meeting marked an important step towards creating a common strategy for resolving future conflicts and ensuring lasting peace in the region.
