TEXILA: Gandhara Resource Center Pakistan (GRCP) proudly presents the second annual Gandhara Citrus Festival, a vibrant celebration held in Taxila. The purpose of the event was to promote agri-tourism in the region by showcasing its rich Buddhist heritage while showcasing the offerings of the various malts.
Sponsored by PTCL-Ufone and Center for Culture and Development (C2D), the main objectives of the festival were highlighted. First, it sought to promote a diverse range of oranges from Khanpur, and foster sustainable linkages between orange producers and exporters at national and international levels. Secondly, it aimed to highlight and exhibit the ancient stone work of the Gandhara civilization, promoting links between artisans and exporters.
The festival featured many activities, including live painting sessions, exhibitions, and promotion of locally harvested citrus fruits and home products. Additionally, it served as a platform to showcase the intricate stone carving art of the Gandhara civilization, helping to advocate and promote local heritage.

In a dedicated effort to promote environmental protection and food security, the fair engaged the private sector, exporters, researchers, and academia to establish linkages that would support the conservation of the Gandhara-themed civilization and stonework.
The vibrant bazaar at the fair boasted a number of food stalls, handicrafts and agricultural product displays, attracting a large number of vendors.
