The launch of the new book “RawalPindi ki Shairi Riwayat” by Farzand Ali Hashmi, a young poet, writer, and researcher, was organized by “Zawiya” under the sponsorship of the Academy of Letters. Rawal Des critic, writer, and poet Khawar Ijaz presided over the ceremony. Speaking at the event, he stated that Hashmi had gone above and beyond to protect the poetic traditions of Rawalpindi and had also touched on those isolated corners of Pindi literature circles that had previously received little attention.
The principal guest, Dr. Arshad Mahmood Nashad, stated that the author’s devotion to the lyrical landscape of his native Pothohar is evident in this work. He commended him for finishing the significant study project and expressed appreciation for his efforts.
Dr. Zahid Hassan Chughtai, the honored guest, stated that the book in question has clear value and that future academics will be able to use it in their own research efforts in addition to benefiting from it.
According to Dr. Ravish Nadeem, the author should be commended for his or her laborious work of researching the customs of the area in question and then collating every last detail of the past. He claims that this book contains all the components needed for future researchers to pursue it further. Adding the appropriate footnotes, references, and bibliography enhances the text.
According to Dr. Abid Sial, these kinds of projects will significantly advance the literary field.
