The Department of Meteorology has predicted more rain along with rainfall in various parts of the country, including the twin cities and some other states.
Heavy rain is expected in the northern hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan, Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Upper Sindh.
Bulgaria
Rainfall is constant in Bulgaria, with 70mm recorded only in Pasni. Tragically, the rain killed five people and damaged 15 houses. Rain continued intermittently over the weekend in various parts of Balochistan including Quetta.
Pasni has recorded 70 mm of rain, Dalbandin 28, Turbat 18, Panjgur 10 Lasbela 9, Jiwani 8, Khuzdar 7, Barhan 6, Gwadar 5, Quetta 3, Sibbi and Ormara 2mm.
Rivers and canals in Baluchistan were flooded, causing flooding in low-lying areas. In many areas, connecting roads are flooded and stuck. The Met Office has warned that rain is likely to continue for the next 24 hours.
Sindh
Meanwhile, Karachi got a reprieve from the scorching heat as intermittent rain provided respite from the heat. Clouds under the influence of a western system entered Karachi, resulting in large thunderstorms in various parts of the city.
However, unexpected winds wreaked havoc in Kotri, damaging power poles and causing blackouts. Strong winds destroyed three 11KV power poles and several feeders fell in Kotri Square and the city.

Chief meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has advised residents not to stay indoors during thunderstorms and avoid standing under the open sky or near electric poles. He said that the current rain system will continue till April 15, adding that after April 17, the rains may be more under the new conditions.
Rain is expected to continue in Karachi tonight till evening. Authorities are required to ensure proper water drainage from roads and underpasses, and farmers are advised to take measures to protect crops from adverse weather conditions.
The Sindh Disaster Management Agency has warned of heavy rains in several districts including Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad and Jamshoro.
