LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced huge prizes for the players if they win the T20I World Cup 2020 to be held in USA and West Indies from June 1.
Naqvi confirmed that each player will receive $100,000 if they lift the trophy in Barbados on June 29.
Pakistan, along with arch-rivals India, USA, Ireland and Canada, will begin their campaign against the hosts in Dallas on June 6 in Group A.
The Green Shirts will then play the most anticipated match of the tournament against India on June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
Pakistan have been named champions in the last two editions but failed. The Men in Green lost to Australia in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai, where Matthew Wade guided the eventual champions to victory.
Meanwhile, in the T20 World Cup 2022, despite a bad start, Pakistan bounced back and reached the final, but failed to win the title and lost to England in the final.
Pakistan put together a strong squad for the World Cup.
Remember, the green shirts will travel to Ireland and England to play seven T20Is before the World Cup begins.
The 18-man squad announced for the Ireland and England T20Is will be reduced to 15 players for the T20 World Cup starting on June 1 after the first T20I against England on May 22.
