Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (IBGE) Peshawar University of Agriculture is organizing the Departmental Sports Festival 2024 like every year for the mental and physical development of students. A total of seven games including Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball and Tug-of-War are played during the week-long festival.
IBGE Veterans, IBGE Mavericks, IBGE Dominators, IBGE Falcons, IBGE Warriors, IBGE Titans, IBGE Zalmi, IBGE Stallions, IBGE Tigers participated in the Sports Fest.
Veterans won Badminton and Table Tennis Championships, Warriors won Basketball, Zalmi Boys won Cricket and Tug, Zalmi Girls won Badminton and Ludo, Stallion Boys Volleyball, Stallion Girls Tug and Tiger Football.
Teachers and students showed great enthusiasm in the festival and welcomed the chief guest and other participants with colorful balloons, banners and flags.
Guest Vice Chairman Prof. dr. Jehan Baght praised the committee and said that sports are important as a class because a healthy mind is necessary for the best education. He added that the hospital will be left in an area where there are many children’s playgrounds. Along with such games, competitions, performances, posters, exhibitions, etc. are organized so that our youth can fully demonstrate their abilities and continue to inculcate self-confidence and human values.
