DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the shortlist for the ICC Men’s and Women’s Players of the Month awards for outstanding performances in March.
The award recognizes outstanding achievements in international cricket and shortlisted names for March cover a range of formats.
Mark Adair has received his first nomination for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month following his key role in Ireland’s win over Afghanistan and his contribution in the shorter formats. New Zealand’s Matt Henry enjoyed consistent success with the ball in the World Test Championship against Australia. Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis grabbed the headlines with his brilliant performance in the Test series against Bangladesh.
The women’s shortlist included notable players from England, Australia, and New Zealand, who recognized their achievements in the format.
England’s Maia Bouchier impressed with her explosive bat in the T20I series against New Zealand. Australia’s Ashley Gardner showed his all-round skills in the ODI series against Bangladesh. New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr was the top scorer and top scorer in the tournament against England.
