Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has effectively managed the cleaning operation during Eid al-Adha with around 0.2 million cases of crime and removing more than 1,750 tons of waste.
About 94,000 criminal cases were dropped in the Federal Capital during last year’s Eid. This year, the administration has worked tirelessly to ensure that illegal and waste is collected from every household, said a spokesperson of the ICT administration.
Sharing the details, Deputy Comissioner of Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon said that more than 150 complaints of citizens have been received through 1334 phone number, which has solved important problems.
On the first day of Eid al-Adha, more than 99,000 crimes and more than 1,750 tons of garbage were thrown away, he said, and more than 100 citizen complaints were received through 1334 phone numbers, which led to a quick solution of this problem.
Similarly, on the second day of Idul Adha, the district government continued its cleaning operation and solved more than 99,000 criminal cases by receiving more than 50 complaints from citizens through 1334 phone numbers.

Biodegradable bags are distributed to residents to collect waste, he said, adding special attention to rural areas this year. This model has been successful in urban areas, where residents leave filled bags outside their homes for collection.
Additionally, a Safe City control room has been set up and 150 complaints were received in the first two days, all of which were quickly resolved.

Meanwhile, mass sacrifices were held in 42 places in Islamabad, and all places were cleaned and sprinkled with rose water to maintain a favorable environment.
