ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorway Police are conducting “E-Khuli Kachehri” on a regular basis, as directed by the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Communications. In this regard, Inspector General of National Highways and Motorways Police Salman Chaudhry took part in the “E-Khuli Kachehri” program on FM-95 Radio and the NHMP official Facebook page, answering frequently asked questions from throughout the country and overseas. The IG Salman Chaudhry issued urgent directives to address the concerns of the general public and National Highways and Motorway Police officers.
He stated that E-Khuli Kachehris are the most effective technique to maintain direct communication with the general public as well as employees in order to solve their problems. To promote equal enforcement of traffic laws and transparency in the ticketing system, an SMS service is being used. Our first objective is to ensure that commuters’ journeys are seamless and safe. National highways and motorways are Pakistan’s lifelines, contributing significantly to the country’s progress. While answering citizen queries, the Inspector General noted that road infrastructure difficulties have long been a problem.
Efforts are being made in collaboration with relevant authorities to ensure a clear resolution. The IG, Salman Chaudhry, highlighted the value of human life and stated that every feasible precaution is being taken to save precious human lives by ensuring pleasant travel and offering timely support and guidance. The Inspector General acknowledged the problems, such as a lack of people, and stated that increasing personnel through coordination with the Ministry of Communications is a priority this year. Efforts are being made to quickly address all issues concerning the well-being and prosperity of employees.
The National Highways and Motorway Police do not compromise on the requirements of their driver’s licenses, resulting in global acceptance. Facilities such as “One Window Operation” will be provided soon to make obtaining a driver’s license more easier. He highlighted that merit-based promotions and advancements will be given to officers and staff in preference. In this sense, promotions will be provided based on merit, ensuring that officers and staff advance.
