Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) sought a report from the Interior Ministry on its refusal to file a case to remove former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and minister Shireen Mazari’s name from the Exit Control List. (ECL). .
IHC Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz appeared in court today along with Shireen Mazari and her lawyer Ahsan Pirzada.
The court asked the Home Ministry to report at 9 am.
It may be noted that Shireen Mazari has filed a court case for disobeying the court order.
It should be noted that the IHC on April 4 ordered the removal of Shireen Mazari’s name from the ECL.
Earlier, on December 1, 2023, the IHC ordered Shireen Mazari’s name to be removed from the passport control list.
Shireen Mazari was named among the PTI-led federal cabinet members who approved the secret deal that allowed real estate tycoon Malik Riaz to pass on 190 million pounds.
