Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday dismissed the appeal of the federal authorities against Justice Babar Sattar, and fined each of the petitioners $500 million. Applications are submitted by IB, FIA, PTA and PEMRA.
At the hearing, the judge asked who authorized the federal agency to file the lawsuit. “IB, FIA, PTA and PEMRA are serious agencies, who authorized to issue the petition? I will decide after hearing the arguments.”
Additional Attorney General (AAG) Munawar Iqbal Dogal, FIA sought to transfer the case to another court as the agency opposed to hearing the case as one of the six judges who wrote a letter to Justice Sattar alleging intervention in the case. by the intelligence agency.
Justice Sattar asked what the relationship between the FIA and the ISI was for this and whether the FIA was an “agent” of the ISI.
“The judge of this court supports the allegations of Justice Shaukat Siddiqui, the judge also supports the investigation of these allegations, the part of the letter you read is related to the ISI and not the FIA. Does the FIA have anything to do with installing hidden cameras in the referee’s house?”
“How do you define a conflict of interest?” – He said. Justice Sattar: “If the executive blackmails the judge, will it be a conflict of interest with the judge?”
The court then dismissed the petition with penalty and indicated that the proceedings against DG FIA should be dismissed.

FIA, PTA, PEMRA and IB on Saturday asked Justice Sattar to withdraw from the case. In the petition, it is alleged that the IHC has already passed judgments in similar cases in other courts.
