International Islamic University (IIUI) Spokesperson Nasir Farid commended the University President H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, for transforming the institution into a merit-based center of excellence during the last four years, saying that Dr. Alotaibi eliminated nepotism and ensured that decisions were made solely on merit.
In a statement, Nasir Farid said that the principled decision of Dr. She discouraged Alotaibi from grouping and allowed deserving individuals access to their rights. He cited the frequent holding of selection committees where employees and teachers were promoted based on merit. He said the principled policy of the IIUI president had failed elements whose agenda was personal interest.

Speaking about the high-level induction meeting on Monday, a university spokesperson said that at the meeting, vice presidents, deans, CEOs and other senior officials of the university recognized the leadership and vision of Dr. Hathala Homoud Alotaibi and said that due to his hard work and vision, the university has achieved a leading position in the global rankings. They also praised that during his four-year tenure, along with the increase in the number of faculty blocks, laboratories and infrastructure, the university had acquired high-profile faculty members from Saudi Arabia’s Um ul Qura University, Madinah University and Imam Muhammad Ibn e Saud University, which they said was a matter of honour. and honors.
The university spokesperson also said that four laboratories set up with funding from Saudi Arabia were inaugurated on Monday in the men’s and women’s campuses based on the vision of the university president.
Discussing the student-centric approach of the IIUI President, the IIUI spokesperson said that the university also got a state-of-the-art student facilitation center with Saudi funding, which was welcomed by the HEC and universities across the country. Nasir Farid said that students who graduated from the International Islamic University are serving in renowned institutions around the world but were never contacted before Dr. Hathal took office. He further said that a clear example of the same effort is the visit of Saudi Arabian industrial specialists a few days ago, where they distributed job letters to 21 students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology after on-site interviews.
