DHIRKOT: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that by revoking the special status of Kashmir, India has taken a wrong decision and the rulers of Pakistan have remained silent.
He said that the people of Pakistan are with the Kashmiris and victory in the Kashmiri movement will be the destiny of the freedom fighters.
The JUI chief said Kashmiris have a history. He was of the opinion that freedom movements would not achieve their goal in months and years.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that nations who have perseverance and high determination will achieve their goal. Kashmiris are a brave and at the same time an oppressed nation.
The war of independence was fought in the subcontinent for more than two hundred years, Fazl said. The idea of freedom extends from one generation to another.
He said that the land of the Palestinians cannot be bought. The British allowed the Jews to build settlements there under a fake agreement in 1917. He said the resolution establishing Pakistan was passed in Lahore in 1940. The same resolution also said that Jewish settlements in the territory of Palestine were illegal.
