ISLAMABAD: The Hurriyat All Parties Conference has said that the BJP-led Indian government is using all draconian measures to silence the voice of freedom of people in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Spokesperson, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas said in a statement in Srinagar that every Kashmiri feels suffocated in the atmosphere of fear and terror in the IIOJK.
He said the Indian government was using draconian laws, ironclad methods and illegal practices to suppress all dissenting voices in the occupied territory. He pointed out that Indian troops have intensified their brutal operations in IIOJK since the termination of the special status of the territory in August 2019.
After revoking Article 370, the Modi regime issued domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris to convert the IIOJK’s Muslim majority into a minority and damage the Kashmiris’ struggle for the right to self-determination.

He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to unite and not allow BJP’s machinations and anti-Kashmir proposals to succeed at any cost. The statement made it clear to Delhi that it cannot stop Kashmiri freedom struggle by resorting to killing, arrest, torture and other brutal tactics.
He also expressed grave concern over the welfare of thousands of Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders, youth, students and activists lodged in various jails in India and across the territory.
Their only crime, he says, is that they oppose India’s illegal occupation of their homeland.
The APHC spokesperson urged the international community to immediately take note of the rapidly deteriorating human rights situation in the IIOJK and put pressure on India to let Kashmiris decide their own political future.
