Karachi: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that cooperation between industry and academic institutions is essential for human capital development and emerging education policies of various sectors of the country.
Speaking as the chief guest at the 4th PEC International Dean’s Conference held at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University on Monday, Khalid Maqbool said that the government has formed a working group with the Pakistan Engineering Council to solve the problems of the engineering fraternity and train new engineers. in the latest technological trends in their field.
We need to empower our young generation with technological knowledge and skills so that they can serve the government of the country and abroad after acquiring the necessary skills.
Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Chairman Engr Najeeb Haroon said that the council is trying to create opportunities for experienced and fresh engineers in various public and private sector projects.
The association also works to build relationships with engineering universities to promote professional education in engineering.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah University President Dr. Zubair Shih said that the PEC International Conference is evidence of efforts to develop relationships between local and international academics and engineering professionals that will lead to positive and lasting results in the future.
