Speaking to MPs, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said international law was violated in the extraterritorial attack on Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh.
He said thousands of children have been killed in Gaza and hospitals are being destroyed.
“People are dying in Gaza every day,” Shehbaz said, adding that the whole world condemned the deadly attack on the head of Hamas in Iran.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif decided to consult with government allies on the current political situation in the country.
According to sources, the prime minister will meet MPs from allied parties to discuss the political situation.
Members of National Assembly and Senate hailing from PPP, MQM-P, IPP, NP and PML-Zia will challenge Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Sources said the prime minister wanted to take government allies on board regarding the political situation in the country.
The Prime Minister will inform MPs about legislation in the National Assembly and the Senate.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met a 12-member high-level Chinese delegation led by Wang Fuqiang.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Ahsan Iqbal, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, Prime Minister’s Coordinator Rana Ehsan Afzal as well as Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and relevant senior officials.
A Chinese delegation is visiting Pakistan for cooperation and collaboration in various sectors after the Prime Minister’s visit to China. The 12-member Chinese delegation includes representatives from 10 different ministries. The Prime Minister expressed special thanks to the Chinese leadership, President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, and welcomed the Chinese delegation.
The Prime Minister said that China and Pakistan share eternal friendship with strong friendly relations between the two countries. He expressed happiness to welcome the delegation to Pakistan and expressed Pakistan’s desire to cooperate with China in various industries and other sectors. After the Bisham incident, security for Chinese nationals was further strengthened.
A delegation of high-level Chinese experts will present their views on Chinese investment in Pakistan, cooperation and collaboration for the second phase of CPEC and to promote Pakistan’s exports. The Chinese delegation will meet experts from various ministries and sectors in Pakistan and visit various places.
The Chinese delegation will provide proposals to promote cooperation in information technology, agriculture, industry, investment, energy, minerals and mining, special economic zones and communication sectors.
In his opening remarks, the Prime Minister informed the delegation about the investment potential in various sectors of Pakistan. The head of the Chinese delegation, Wang Fuqiang, said that mutual technical cooperation will further strengthen Pakistan-China strategic relations and expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s exemplary hospitality.
