To promote efficient policing and safeguard citizen lives and property, Islamabad’s police stations will be outfitted with cutting-edge amenities and cutting-edge technology.
The Golra Police Station building’s foundation stone was placed by Caretaker Minister for Interior Dr. Gohar Ijaz, marking the beginning of work towards achieving this aim. Thirteen police stations in the federal capital are also being decorated and embellished; in less than 30 days, these stations will have new technology and contemporary amenities.
By guaranteeing the safety of people and their belongings as well as the maintenance of peace and security, this program seeks to increase the recognition of the Islamabad Capital Police.
The caretaker interior minister, Dr. Gohar Ijaz, reportedly attended the ceremony as the chief guest and gave a speech in connection with the construction of the new Golra Police Station building in Islamabad. He said that the ICCPO and the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad had notified him, when he took office, about the worsening state of 13 of the 26 police stations in the city, making a visitation unfeasible.
As a result, he gave the Interior Secretary and other authorities orders to quickly adorn and decorate these police stations.
Starting today, Monday, the process of decorating and embellishing these stations will begin, with the goal of finishing in a record-breaking thirty days.
Although the public attends police stations in search of solutions to their problems, Dr. Gohar Ijaz stressed the commitment of the officers and staff who work around the clock in the police stations.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing police recognition, safeguarding people’s safety and property, and upholding law and order.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan spoke at the event as well, recognizing the force’s small size but emphasizing its important role in upholding law and order, defending people and property, and battling crime.
He expressed gratitude to the Interior Minister for starting the process of adorning police stations and reaffirming the force’s dedication to protecting public safety and offering amenities to Islamabad’s residents.
Caretaker Interior Minister Dr. Gohar Ijaz was greeted earlier by ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, who showed out to be a shrewd man and had a police contingent present a guard of honor for him.
The occasion included the official laying of the foundation stone for the new Golra Police Station building by Caretaker Minister for Interior Dr. Gohar Ijaz. Many police officers, including senior officials, as well as representatives from traders’ associations, attended.
