ISLAMABAD: As per the specific instructions given by Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police Officer, the police force is pursuing legal measures to guarantee safe and orderly traffic on the nation’s capital’s highways.
In this context, the Federal Ministry of Interior also issued an official statement last year regarding the rise in fines intended to deter traffic offenses in the federal capital. The goal of the higher penalty for infractions was to ensure that traffic laws were followed, which would decrease the number of infractions.
In addition, Islamabad Capital Police got 33% more complaints in the final four months of 2018 compared to the first eight months of the interim administration.
According to ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the purpose of the increase in traffic fines is to guarantee that traffic laws be strictly followed and that guidelines are put into practice, both of which are essential for preventing accidents.
The Islamabad Capital Police is dedicated to educating the public about the significance of obeying traffic laws. To protect people and property, these laws must be strictly enforced.
