ISLAMABAD: A crucial roundtable debate on the current Gaza crisis was held at the Riphah Institute of Public Policy, located at Riphah International University Islamabad. Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of Riphah International University Islamabad, the event brought together notable vice chancellors from universities around the nation. Pro-Rector Bahria University Islamabad, Vice Chancellor Shifa Tameer E Millat University Prof. Dr. Iqbal Khan, Vice Chancellor Air University, Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed, HI (M) (Retd.), and other distinguished guests were present. Muhammad Arshid Javed SI (M), Rector of Fast University Islamabad, is Rear Admiral (R). The individuals mentioned are Prof. Dr. Mohayyudin Hashmi of the Islamic Studies School of AIOU, Lt. The roundtable discussion brought to light the pressing need for increased public awareness of Israel’s egregious human rights violations in Gaza. The attendees vowed to organize group activities inside higher education institutions to assist the Palestinian people and categorically denounced these atrocities. During his speech, Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad stressed the value of action and solidarity, calling for a coordinated effort to raise awareness of the Palestinian people’s continuous suffering. A loud cry for coordinated action to end the suffering of the Palestinian people and to oppose injustice was heard throughout the conference.
