Islamabad: National TV presenter and marathon runner Mona Khan has been released by the Greek administration following the emergency action taken by the Pakistan Embassy in Greece.
According to the FO spokesperson, Mona Khan was released from custody and went to Athens to meet her son.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Buluch emphasized the embassy’s proactive efforts and said, “The Pakistani embassy has hired a lawyer and secured consular rights for Mona Khan. Embassy officials have been in prison to support her and facilitate her release.”
Journalist Mona Khan was arrested in Kathryn’s prison.
Pakistani authorities have worked with Greek officials to demand the release of anchor and marathon runner Mona Khan.
Mona Khan was arrested by the police in Greece for displaying the Pakistani flag on tour.
