Karachi: The Pakistan women’s cricket team’s four-day training session for next month’s ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 began on Wednesday at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Center in Karachi.
A total of 28 cricketers have been called for the camp by the women’s national selection committee, which will assess and evaluate the players’ performance before announcing the event to Dambulla, Sri Lanka.
The players will also undergo practice sessions at Perokary Performance Center on Friday and play T20 practice matches at Moin Khan Academy on Thursday and Saturday.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced the team management for the 2024 ACC Women’s Asia Cup.
Former chief selector Mohammad Wasim has been appointed as head coach, while former Test bowlers Abdur Rehman and Junaid Khan will be bowling coach and assistant coach respectively.

The eight-team ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup will be held in Dambulla, Sri Lanka from July 19-18. Pakistan is in Group A with India, Nepal and UAE.
On the opening day of the event, Pakistan will play arch rivals India, Nepal and UAE on July 21 and 23 respectively.
