On the exam day, reports surfaced on social media platforms that the class 9 computer science paper had been leaked.
The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEC) has now created a controversy by failing to confirm the authenticity of the leaked papers.
A BSEK spokesperson said that an investigation is underway to determine whether the circular is genuine or fake. The uncertainty of the situation heightens the anxiety of students and administrators.
Today, the beginning of class 9 and 10 exams has been marked by this unpleasant development. In response, the BSEC chairman issued a stern warning to students not to bring mobile phones into the examination hall and said any violation would result in confiscation of the devices.
In the ongoing examination, the science group papers were issued in the morning shift, while the general group papers were scheduled for the second shift. The decision of the Board to conduct the examination in two shifts is aimed at making it easy and efficient for all the students.
This year, BSEC has introduced online admit card to students with important exam information including designated exam center. Those who have submitted their exam form online can easily crack the entrance exam and crack the entrance exam.
However, students who missed the exam deadline still have a chance to do so on May 10, even if they are $3,500 late. The press secretary said that exams missed this time will be rescheduled and held at a later date to ensure that no students are disturbed due to administrative restrictions.
While investigations into alleged paper leaks are ongoing, BSEC maintains the integrity and fairness of the examination process and ensures that students’ academic efforts are protected from any irregularities or malpractices.
