Karachi: As the sun continued to set across the country, Karachi recorded its highest temperature of the year.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi recorded a temperature of 42.5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. The average temperature of the city was 41.5 degrees.
Gulshan-e-Johar emerged as the hottest locality in Karachi with the mercury reaching 42.5 degrees.
Beyond Karachi, Sindh is experiencing a severe heat wave. Temperatures in Moenjodaro, Larkana and Jacobabad soared up to 50 degrees Celsius. Dadu reached 49 degrees, Sukkur 48 degrees, Sahiwal 46 degrees.
