Kashmiris to observe Youm-e-Istehsal

ISLAMABAD: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC), in Pakistan and across the world will observe Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir tomorrow, August 5, to register their protest against the illegal Hindutva rule of India’s BJP. actions taken on that day in 2019.

 According to Kashmir Media Service, India’s Bharatiya Janata Party-led government, in gross violation of UN resolutions and international law, abrogated Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which granted special status to India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and introduced an unprecedented army. siege on the territory on 5 August 2019.

 Meanwhile, the leaders imprisoned in the Hurriyat All Parties Conference, Massarat Alam Butt and Shabbir Ahmed Shah, appealed to the Kashmiri people to observe Black Day on August 5 (tomorrow) to send a strong message to the world that Kashmiris do not accept brutal Indian rule. anti-Kashmiri acts and violations of international law in the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

 The illegally detained APHC leaders, in their separate reports from jail, said that August 5, 2019 is one of the blackest days in IIOJK.

Sindh Government has decided to observe “Youm-e-Istehsal” on August 5 (Monday) by organizing protest rallies, conducting seminars, playing documentaries, hoisting Kashmiri/national flags, banners, panaflexes against the Indian Government’s decision to revoke the special status of the disputed territory of India illegally occupied of Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

“Youm-e-Istehsal” is being observed since the last 5 years when the Modi regime amended the Constitution of India on 5th August 2019.

The Chief Secretary Sindh in a letter addressed to all Deputy Commissioners asked them to ensure mass mobilization in the form of rally and spread the thorough message of Youm-e-Istehsal at the respective District/Tehsil Headquarters.

Public gatherings, rallies/walks and protests will be organized at the district and tehsil headquarters as per the guidelines.

Special events are to be organized in the districts and tehsil headquarters in which commissioners and deputy commissioners would participate as chief guests. Banners/panaflexes, hoardings and ribbons related to Youm-e-Istehsal would be put up at prominent places and roads, while flags of Kashmir and Pakistan would also be put up at important places.

Commissioner Karachi has been asked to organize the Parade of Boats in collaboration with the Major Boat and Yacht Clubs. Photo exhibitions at the Arts Council of Pakistan and other arts councils in the province will be organized as a show of solidarity with Kashmiris. The Chief Secretary also ordered that large digital screens be installed in all major cities to be used to play documentaries.
