Britain’s Prince of Wales, Kate, who is undergoing chemotherapy to stave off cancer, has written to an army regiment to apologize for missing Saturday’s military parade and said she hopes to return soon.
“Becoming a colonel remains a great honor and I am very sorry that I will not be able to honor you at this year’s colonel’s review,” Keith wrote to the regimental commander of the Irish Guards.
“Please, I apologize to the whole regiment, but I hope to be able to represent you again soon,” he said in a letter written on June 3 and posted on the X social media platform by the Irish Guard on Saturday. regiment
Britain’s Prince William, the heir to the throne, said last month that his wife Kate was “doing well”. He said he was undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with cancer following abdominal surgery in early March.
The colonel’s review was part of the Trooping the Color celebrations, a week before the high-profile parade to mark the monarch’s birthday. Keith was a colonel of the Irish Guards who attended the event.
