LAHORE: South African Rassie van der Dussen will play his last match for Lahore Qalandars tonight against Islamabad United in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.
According to details, the 35-year-old was only available for eight matches and is leaving to take part in Cricket South Africa’s domestic T20 tournament, the CSA T20 Challenge.
The right-handed batsman scored 300 runs in six matches at an average of 75. He scored a brilliant 104 not out against Peshawar Zalmi.
It should be noted that the Qalandars have lost six matches with one match being eliminated. Their chances of qualifying are slim but all hope is not lost for Shaheen Afridi’s troops. However, since there is little hope, things are not so simple.
Lahore have three more matches to play, not only needing to win them by a huge margin but also requiring Karachi and Islamabad to lose their remaining matches.
