Peshawar / DERA Ismail Khan: South Waziristan District Judge and Judge Shakirullah Marwat, who appealed to the government and the court to accept the demands of the kidnappers after he was abducted a day earlier, was returned by the Counter-Terrorism Department late on Sunday. (CTD) confirmed the vote.
Dera Ismail Khan CTD said the abductees reached home safely after recovering “unconditionally”. Information advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif later confirmed the judge’s recovery.
In a video statement from an unknown source, Mr Marwat said earlier: “The Taliban brought me here. This is a jungle and a war,” he said.
In a minute-long notice, the session judge said release is only possible if the militants’ demands are accepted.
