DERA ISMAIL KHAN: In the spirit of ensuring progress and progress in Pakistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur apologized to the “strong areas” of the country.
The prime minister, who is the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in KP, said that his party does not want to fight with anyone and wants the country to develop and prosper.
“We don’t want to fight with anyone. The military, the police and the judiciary are all ours and the people,” the CM said at a rally in his hometown Gandapur.
The meeting was held to mark a year since last year’s May 9 riots, which were sparked by violent mobs that took to the streets following the arrest of PTI founder Imran Khan.
The nation on Thursday condemned the riots on May 9 and paid sincere tribute to the country’s armed forces and their sacrifices for the country.
In his speech, the KP Prime Minister condemned the May 9 violence and called it a “black day” in the country’s history. He also decided that his party would take this opportunity to identify those who had set up divisions of the violence that the country witnessed that day.
“But it is also important to identify who is planning the master of this event. We will speak to those who are guilty and those who benefited on May 9,” said KP CM.
The Prime Minister said that the founder of PTI had predicted that he would be attacked, jailed and efforts would be made to end his party.
He said PTI leaders and workers were facing unprecedented hardships after the May 9 violence.
The Prime Minister said that he witnessed several incidents that happened before May 9. “If I say, this system will be open,” he said.
Referring to a press conference held by the Inter-Services Public Relations Chief on May 9, 2023 apologizing to those involved in the violence, Gandapur said the ISPR chief should not engage in political discourse. But who will apologize for what happened to our leaders and workers?”
He lamented that false cases were filed against him in eight districts after the May 9 incident.
“I apologize to those who filed false cases. Our leaders are still in jail but no crime has been proved against them,” the CM said.
Gandapur said its leader Imran Khan is popular.
He is in prison for the people and the country. KP Chief said that he is not afraid of the governor ruling in KP. But if this is introduced, the people will occupy the governor’s house and the CM’s house because only the rule of the people is allowed in KP.
