KOHAT: On Thursday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Finance, Excise and Taxation and Anti-Narcotics Ahmed Rasool Bangash formally inaugurated the Kohat Sewage Treatment Plant, Mallam Women’s Business Center, and Kohat Industrial Estate Security Development Project in Kohat. The projects were funded by WSSC and cost Rs.6 billion and Rs.589 million, respectively. While inspecting the under-construction parts of both the projects, he expressed his satisfaction over the pace and quality of work and directed the authorities concerned to complete these important projects of public interest in stipulated time.
On this occasion, Arif Rauf, Chief Executive of WSSC Kohat, provided a detailed briefing on the importance and use of the aforementioned projects, as well as the quality of their work.
Meanwhile, the Minister launched the Kohat Industrial Estate Security Development Project. On this occasion, the MD of the Small Industries Development Board of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the President of the Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industries provided excellent advice to the Minister of Finance Kohat, as well as outlining the barriers to the development of small industries in Kohat. The Provincial Minister asked them to give their proposals in writing and told them that they would be implemented immediately.
The Finance Minister stated that it has always been his heart’s desire to assist his region and its people in whatever capacity he can, and it is through Allah Almighty’s unique blessing that he has been quite successful in this endeavor. He is still doing his best to contribute to Kohat’s development.
Ahmad Rasool Bangash went on to say that the doors of his office are always open for the people of the province, particularly Kohat, and that they can call him at any time to discuss their real problems. He stated that he is extremely happy today that, as a son of Kohat, public interest activities are being done in Kohat by his personal efforts, which is a source of pride for him.
