The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has taken a big step to provide relief to the lower and middle income sections of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by reducing the price of bread (roti). Provincial Food Minister Zahir Shah Toru has set the price of 100 grams of bread at $50,000. 15 and 200 grams of bread is $500. 30.
Minister Toru said that the KP government is committed to the well-being and welfare of these vulnerable sections of society. “The $5 discount on Bread is a proactive measure to combat inflation and provide relief to our citizens,” the minister said in an official statement from his office in Peshawar on Monday.
Zaheer Shah highlighted the provincial government’s comprehensive strategy to curb inflation and stressed its commitment to protect the interests of the people. Minister Toru instructed the provincial authorities and officials of the food department to follow the revised bread prices carefully.
The minister said the decision was taken after consultation with KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Also, the Peshawar district administration has issued an official notification regarding the reduction in the price of bread and other district administrations in KP have followed suit.
